Types of notices – Voluntary Establishment of a Pay Equity Committee

Voluntary Establishment of a Pay Equity Committee

Which type of notice must you send us?

You must notify the Office of the Pay Equity Commissioner that you have voluntarily established a pay equity committee.

Description

Employers that have between 10 and 99 employees, with no unionized employees, are not required to develop their pay equity plan with a pay equity committee.

However, it is often a good practice to do so and therefore, small non-unionized employers may choose to establish a pay equity committee.

In such case, they must notify the Pay Equity Commissioner that they have voluntary established a pay equity committee.

Assessment Process

A note will be made in the employer’s file that a committee was established voluntarily.
